About Kerryn Burgoyne

Diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome (as it was classified at the time) in 1998 at the age of 30, Kerryn spent much of her early life navigating a world that felt fundamentally different. Because there was no common language, context or explanation (the framework) to help others understand how she processed the world, people frequently misinterpreted or misunderstood her as a person. As a result, the path to social connection and adapting to life in broader society was largely a solitary one. Through years of hardship, trial and error, trauma, and rejection, Kerryn remained deeply committed to personal growth. Over time, she overcame the barriers placed before her and emerged with a stronger sense of self, purpose, and possibility. Between 2005 and 2013, she embarked on what she describes as her “life journey”—a transformative period of intentional evolution. During these years, she let go of many of the limitations that had once defined her and emerged as the strong-willed, determined, independent, and resilient woman she is today. Today, Kerryn translates her lived experience into a mission of service. As the founder and owner of KTalk, an innovative autism training and education agency based in Australia, she provides vital tools/resources and self-help courses for the wider community. Kerryn is a sought-after speaker whose presentations offer an honest, humble and inspirational perspective on: • Neurodiversity: Moving beyond diagnosis to empowerment. • Resilience: Building strength through life’s most difficult transitions. • Personal Growth: The “life journey” of self-actualization. • Persistence: Succeeding in the face of systemic and personal adversity. Through KTalk, Kerryn continues to challenge misconceptions and inspire others to build lives defined by strengths, potential, and opportunity rather than diagnosis. Her presentations offer an empowering, impacting, honest, sincere and inspiring perspective on resilience, personal growth, neurodiversity
