Mark Speckman

Mark Speckman Coach Mark Speckman is a respected football coach, educator, author, and motivational speaker with more than 45 years of leadership experience across high school, collegiate, and professional athletics. Currently serving as Offensive Coordinator for Azusa Pacific University football, he is widely recognized for building high-performing programs, developing leaders, and inspiring people to overcome challenges with purpose and resilience. A former linebacker at Azusa Pacific, Speckman earned All-American honorable mention as a student-athlete before launching a distinguished coaching career. As a head coach, he was a Liberty Mutual National Coach of the Year finalist, earned AFCA West Region Coach of the Year honors, and was named Conference Coach of the Year ten times while leading teams to championship-level performance and national recognition. Beyond the field, Speckman spent 17 years as a high school social studies teacher and coach. He and his wife, Sue, also developed and directed a successful at-risk program for six years, reflecting his lifelong commitment to mentoring young people and helping others discover their potential. His impact has been recognized through multiple Hall of Fame inductions, including the Sac-Joaquin Section Hall of Fame. Born without hands, Speckman brings a powerful and authentic perspective to the stage. His message of resilience, leadership, adaptability, and perseverance resonates with audiences in education, athletics, business, and community organizations.
