About Sue Berkey Seserman
Sue Seserman is the Creator and Author of the graphic novel series, Epilectra. She’s also a disability thought leader, advocate, and influencer. Epilectra is about a team of modern superheroes with different disabilities they transform into superabilities to rehabilitate adversaries and make the world a better place. The team, Team SEEZ for Support & Empower Everyone Zealously, is led by Epilectra who has epilepsy. She harnesses the errant electricity in her brain to shoot through her fingertips as lightning. Other disabilities represented in Books 1 and 2 of the Epilectra series are paralysis, type 1 diabetes, autism, cerebral palsy, and endometriosis. Seserman was diagnosed with epilepsy at 50 and with T1diabetes at 30, and all her characters are inspired by people in her life. Seserman is very active on social media with close to 15,000 followers, and she speaks nationwide on the topic, Transforming Your Disability Into Your Superability. Seserman started her career in public relations. She enjoyed significant stints on the sports marketing team at Edelman Worldwide in Chicago and as PR Director with George Lucas’ gaming company, LucasArts, outside of San Francisco. Seserman has both her B.S. in Communications and her M.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University. She currently lives in Denver, CO, with her husband of 37 years and their two Vizslas.
